Film Festival Rollercoaster

The Film Festival circuit is a rollercoaster… one day you get rejected completely and the next you win Best Documentary. It certainly helps to create a thick skin and a level head. A little rejection along with some praise helps to keep your feet on the ground.

I am still looking for the right permanent home for this Documentary to live, and we will get there, but for now we are still waiting on several film festivals over the next couple months.

But here is where we are… I won’t list all the rejections, but just know that there are plenty… here are the successes:

  • Official Selection: Impact Docs Awards for Documentary and Score
  • Best Documentary: Believe Psychology Film Festival
  • Audience Choice for Best Documentary: Spirit of Cinema Awards
  • Diamond Award for Best Documentary: SoCal Film Awards
  • Best Score: SoCal Film Awards
  • Honorable Mention: London International Monthly Film Festival
  • Honorable Mention: Athens International Monthly Film Festival

I appreciate all the support and hope to get this documentary and this issue in front of more people in the near future. Could be some exciting news coming in the future…
